ooooo -- hard to think of anything hotter than punishments for a person's own good. I imagine Severus even thinks Potter will retain some actual benefit from having his willfullness thoroughly tamed. I wonder if he'd do the same without that veil of legitimacy?

Ah, but being a Slytherin, he'd always make sure his actions had some sort of legitimacy. Either that, or he'd Obliviate the boy. :D
